OENODIA IS THE ENOLOGY DIVISION OF EURODIA INDUSTRIE S.A., ONE OF THE WORLD’S LEADING SPECIALISTS IN MEMBRANE-BASED PROCESSES FOR THE AGRI-FOOD INDUSTRY.
Eurodia was set up in 1988 by Bernard Gillery, who is now the head of its supervisory board. From its headquarters in Pertuis, in the heart of Provence, France, Oenodia has developed a presence on five continents and is today a market leader in the sugar, dairy and cheese industries.
An unrivalled technology serving the future of the wine industry
Eurodia became involved in the wine-making industry in the 1990s when, while working closely with the French National Institute for Agronomic Research (INRA), their engineers adapted an innovative and high-performance solution to address the challenges of tartaric stabilization: the STARS® range was born, and with it, Oenodia, Eurodia’s wine-dedicated division.
The STARS® technology, which remains exclusive to OENODIA today, is based on a selective extraction of potassium, calcium and tartrates. In keeping with both wine quality and environmental concerns, the STARS® technology has won over 230 wineries and is part of the magic behind over a billion bottles.
Keep it natural
To continue our work on streamlining winemaking processes, Oenodia’s R&D team is racking their brains: always on the lookout for an innovation, we are developing and testing new products. That’s how the STARS® range has grown with a pH control solution and, lately, a single-step bottling prep solution, with an XF filter paired to a tartaric stabilization unit. We have also designed a water recovery solution to lower overall consumption during stabilization, in keeping with our mission: the highest performance, with the lowest environmental footprint.
